Hon. Min. Henry Musaasizi Ariganyira, the Rubanda East constituency MP and a state Minister of Finance and Economic planning General Duties has encouraged CARITAS and church as a whole to support the government in raising awareness and encouraging the community in participating in value addition through embracing government programs like PDM , EMYOOGA, among others in order to eradicate poverty.
Musaasizi was speaking earlier today as a Guest of Honor in a Palm Sunday Mass that was presided over by Rt Rev Bp Callist Rubaramira, the Bishop Kabale Diocese which also marked the conclusion of the CARITAS week that was held in Kabale diocese this year.
He empathized that through the government, the ministry of Finance is committed to work with the church by providing an enabling environment and undertaking joint partnership programs in human development programs. Furthermore he implored the church to continue supporting the poor and promoting interventions that will help people get out of poverty.
The Mass attracted many notable dignitaries including Hon. Wilfred Niwagaba the Ndorwa East constituency MP and Hon Nicholas Thadeus Kamara, the Kabale Municipality MP among others.
