A missing casual laborer in Jinja City, employed at Abbysinia Group of Industries Limited, was found dead in the factory’s raw material production house.

Musobya 35, went missing on November 19th, and his body was discovered by a fellow employee clearing a pit in the factory.

Factory managers initially attempted to conceal Musobya’s disappearance, but his colleagues informed his relatives. The area supervisor suggested that Musobya may have slid into the pit and died, but his family disputes this explanation.

Family members accuse the factory owners of concealing the true cause of his death. They allege that despite Musobya having registered his next of kin, none of them were informed about his disappearance.

The Kiira Regional Police Spokesperson, James Mubi, mentioned that the deceased’s body showed physical injuries, but the postmortem report from Jinja Regional Referral Hospital is pending.
