Missing 27-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Kabalagala
Police in Kampala have recovered the lifeless body of 27-year-old man who was reported missing five days ago.
The deceased identified as Felix Kamwesiga, also a nephew to the former Deputy Attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana was found in Kabalagala, Kampala.
According to his family members, Kamwesiga was last seen in Makindye around 4 a.m. on Saturday morning.News of his dissaperaance circulated on various whatssap groups where family members requested the public to locate his whereabouts.
The deceased’s employer at T and N Miracle Agencies Management also issued a statement expressing regret over his disappearance and urged anyone with information to contact the authorities.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed that Kamwesiga’s body was found at Mulago Mortuary, having been brought there by officers from Kabalagala Police.
He noted that a team of investigators from Katwe Police has since visited the crime scene in the Kabalagala area to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death.
Kamwesiga’s death adds to a string of similar cases in recent times. Just last week, Sonny Serwano Bamujje, a special hire driver, was reported missing before being found dead in Nakaseke swamp. Similarly, the body of Makerere University Lecturer Julius Mugaga was discovered floating in Lake Victoria after he had been missing for several days.
