In a showcase of beauty, talent, and grace, the Miss Tourism Tooro Region pageant crowned its new Queens for 2024. The highly-anticipated event, held on May 11th, 2024 at Mountains of The Moon Hotel in Fort Portal City saw Akankunda Rachel crowned as the Top Queen, with Lilian Kempeta and Ngonzi Doreen claiming the titles of 1st and 2nd runner-up, respectively.
The evening was not only a celebration of beauty but also a recognition of exceptional talent and heritage. Miss Ngonzi Doreen won Miss Popularity which is a People’s Award since they’re the ones who cast the votes, while Kaheesi Emily captivated the audience with her talent, earning her the Miss Talent title. Akankwasa Ketra’s elegant portrayal of heritage secured her the Miss Heritage award.
Adding prestige to the occasion, Kagasa Doreen was appointed as the Ambassador for Apollo Inn Hotel, and Nsiimire Cynthia was honored as the Devon Tour Ambassador.
As the gateway to the Miss Tourism Uganda competition, the event takes top 3 girls from each region to compete for the esteemed title. Their genuine love and passion for tourism shone through as they delivered a powerful performance that left the audience enthralled.
- The competition was fierce, but these Queens showcased unparalleled dedication and talent, leaving spectators awestruck by their success. These queens now continue their journey towards the national stage where they will vie for the ultimate title of Miss Tourism Uganda.
