Minister Ogwang Emphasizes Minimum Standards in Private Sports Facilities
The Minister of State for Sports, Peter Ogwang has emphasized the need for private sports investors to adhere to the minimum construction standards of sports facilities.
The Minister disclosed this while inspecting training sports facilities in Bweyale Kiryandongo district Yesterday.
“Going forward, all private sports investors and developers should ensure their facilities are constructed with the minimum required standards”, Ogwang said.
According to the Minister, whereas private sports developers play a vital role in promoting and developing sports in the country, there is need for adherence of the minimum standards for purposes of developing respective sports disciplines.
In Kiryandongo district, Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development under USMID program constructed sports training facility for the refugees in Bweyale.
These sports facilities are basically for inspiring the youth
