Minister Baryomunsi Hails Bishop Mazzoldi School for Shaping Future Ugandans
Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomumsi, has praised Bishop Mazzoldi Day and Boarding Nursery and Primary School for molding many children into esteemed Ugandans.
Minister Baryomunsi, who also serves as the Kinkizi East Member of Parliament, made these remarks on August 4, 2024, while presiding over the school’s 27th anniversary and the launch of Computer Studies in Kanungu Town Council, Kanungu District.
The event also celebrated Rev. Fr. Dr. Abel Beinomugisha’s 37th anniversary in priesthood. He is the founder of the school.
Minister Baryomunsi commended Fr. Beinomugisha for establishing Bishop Mazzoldi School, which has educated many individuals who have grown into skilled and valuable citizens. He also lauded the school founders and management for organizing the fundraising function to launch Computer Studies, which will benefit the current pupils and elevate Bishop Mazzoldi’s reputation in Kanungu District and beyond.
The Minister emphasized that the government is committed to implementing universal primary and secondary education and urged parents to educate their children in schools they can afford, as education is a lifelong investment. He also praised the alumni of Bishop Mazzoldi for initiating the launch of Computer Studies at their alma mater, noting that it comes at an opportune time during the 4th industrial revolution, where computer literacy is essential.
Rev. Fr. Abel Beinomugisha, the Founder and Director of Bishop Mazzoldi Day and Boarding Nursery and Primary School, expressed gratitude to God for guiding him through 37 years of priesthood and the 25-year anniversary of the school. He urged parents and well-wishers to continue supporting the school by purchasing computers and thanked the alumni for their collaborative efforts in launching this initiative.
