New Appointments and Key Exits in Museveni’s Latest RDC Reshuffle
President Yoweri Museveni has exercised his constitutional mandate and made significant appointments and reshuffles among Uganda’s Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), Resident City Commissioners (RCCs), their deputies, and other commissioners within the RDC Secretariat.
This is in the exercise of the authority granted to the President under Articles 99 and 203 of the 1995 Constitution (as amended).
A total of 146 RDCs and 163 deputies were appointed, with notable regional commissioners including Maj. Martha Asimwe, who will head the RDC Secretariat, and Sr. Grace Akiror, who will serve as her deputy.
Among the notable figures who were dropped in President Museveni’s recent reshuffle is Anderson Burora, who previously served as the Deputy RCC for Rubaga Division. He has been replaced with Kitambula Henry.
