Luwero punter hits Shs400 million jackpot in betPawa aviator game

A businessman from Bwaise in Kampala is whistling all the way to bank after hitting a Shs398 million jackpot in a  betPawa aviator game.

Eddy Kikonyogo, who hails from Luwero District, is dreaming big. The 30-year-old dealer in electrical appliances played with Shs2,000.

“I have been placing football bets but when I discovered aviator, I realized there was a possibility of winning a lot of money within a very short time,” said the excited bet Pawa customer.

For his lucky attempt at the virtual airborne-based game, Eddy was on last week Friday February 9th treated to a scenic tour of Jinja on a real life plane ride by bet Pawa to celebrate his win.

“When I played, I was in the company of my friends who were asking me repeatedly to cash-out by stopping the plane but I stood my ground to the point where I froze in disbelief when I saw the amount by which my stake had multiplied,” he recounted.

While handing over the cheque to the jackpot winner, bet Pawa country marketing manager Ivy Iguundura said Kikonyogo’s win reflects the brand’s position as the “Home of Big Winners”.

“We are excited that this is yet another big win for our customer on aviator,” Iguundura said. “We match the remarkable wins with instant payouts, making it more exciting and rewarding for the customers.”

Relatedly, Lola Okulo, the betPawa public relations officer, reaffirmed the lottery giant’s commitment to meet customer expectations and promised that the company will extend financial advisory to their winners such as Kikonyogo in order to utilise the prize money appropriately.

This record win comes two months after aviator maker Spribe certified a betPawa customer from Ghana called Fuseini as the highest winner ever in Africa.

Fuseini won an equivalent of Shs1.89 billion on the casino game.
