Luwero Man 56, Defiles Step Daughter, Granddaughter
Luwero Police are holding a 56-year-old man for defiling his stepdaughter and grandchild.
The accused is Sulaiman Kizito, a resident of Kasenene village in Katikamu sub-county, Luwero district.
Kizito was arrested following a tip-off from concerned local residents. Their reports revealed that these heinous acts had taken place while the suspect’s wife was hospitalized at Luwero Hospital due to a chronic illness.
Sam Twineamazima, the Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson, disclosed that Kizito faces accusations of defiling not only his 13-year-old stepchild but also his 9-year-old granddaughter concurrently this year until October 9, 2023.
Twineamazima says Kizito is under the custody of Luwero Central Police, pending the decision of the State Attorney regarding charges of aggravated defilement. In addition, both the accused and the two young victims have undergone thorough medical examinations to determine their HIV/AIDS status as a crucial part of the ongoing investigation.
Under section 129(3) of the Penal Code Act, the maximum sentence for aggravated defilement is death.
