A shocking incident has rocked the town of Kyotera as a woman, identified only as Harriet, 28, is on the run after allegedly chopping off her husband’s genitals and killing him on the spot.
The gruesome incident occurred on Sunday night in Kabawo Cell, Mutukula Town Council.
The deceased, Reagan Karamaji, also 28, was reportedly attacked by Harriet upon his return from a nearby bar. According to reports, Harriet used a kitchen knife to mutilate and kill Karamaji, accusing him of infidelity.
Kyotera District Police Commander (DPC), Hassan Musoba, stated that efforts are underway to track down the suspect. The police are actively searching for Harriet, who is believed to have fled the scene immediately after the incident.
“We are doing everything possible to apprehend the suspect and bring her to justice,” said Musoba.
The violent act has left the local community in shock. This marks the third such incident in Uganda in less than four months, raising concerns about domestic violence and its tragic consequences.
Police is urging anyone with information about Harriet’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in the investigation.
