A teacher only identified as Kabenge at King’s College Budo is being investigated for defiling and subsequently impregnating a girl believed to be Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago’s daughter.
Sources familiar with the case told this reporter that the girl aged 15 had an affair with the teacher and she conceived during the second term holidays that lapsed recently.
The case has been kept from the public probably because it involves a high profile person and one of the academic giants in the country.
However, parents of the school who learnt of the incident could not keep quiet as they are concerned about what happens to their children at the school.
“How can we send our children to the teachers for molding and instead they rape and impregnate them,” a parent who prefers anonymity says.
The case is being handled by Old Kampala Police.
We could not independently verify whether Mr Lukwago is the girl’s biological father or just a caretaker.
