Kiira Regional Police Command Sets New Date for Probationer Police Constables Interviews
The Kiira Regional Police Command, which covers Jinja City and District, has announced a tentative schedule for the interviews of successful applicants for Probationer Police Constables (PPCs). According to SP James Mubi, the regional police spokesperson, the interviews, which were previously postponed, are now slated for Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Jinja National Agricultural Showgrounds.
The police are urging candidates to confirm their names at the regional police headquarters and the three policing divisions of Jinja Central, Buwenge, and Kakira before the designated interview date. SP Mubi emphasized that the interviews will comprise a physical fitness test, written and oral tests, and a medical examination. He instructed candidates to arrive at the venue by 7:00 a.m. on the day of the interviews.
The officer stressed that successful candidates must possess their original national identity cards and original academic documents on the day of the interviews. “You must possess a national identity card and original academic documents,” he reiterated, adding that the exercise is entirely free of charge.
The Uganda Police Force (UPF) launched a countrywide recruitment drive to enlist patriotic Ugandans to support the security institution in maintaining law and order in the community. This initiative aims to bolster the police force’s capabilities in serving and protecting the citizens of Uganda.
