Police is investigating circumstances under which six cars have been left damaged after a building wall fence belonging to one Ntare suddenly collapsed on them.

The incident happened on , September 12, 2022 at Wovatoyombye Garage in Church Zone, Makindye Division in Kampala.

The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire says no injuries or deaths were registered in the incident but  the building owner, Ntare has since been arrested at Katwe police post to aid with investigations.

He says it has also been established that Ntare’s wall fence collapsed as a result of a poor drainage system at the neighbour’s residence that weakened his wall.

Owoyesigyire says a report from the technical persons will be handed to the police to aid in the ongoing investigations.

This comes just days after a mall gate at the old taxi park collapsed on a  street vendor, killing him on spot.

The deceased, Ronald Nduggwa died when the entrance gate at Park Nkadde Mall collapsed on him.

Eyewitnesses at Old Taxi Park claim the deceased was passing when the gate collapsed and killed him.

Patrick Onyango, the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, said then that Nduggwa’s death is a result of negligence by the managers of the building.
