I can’t be part of the group that wants to make Uganda like Libya – Mayinja

Former member of the National Unity Platform (NUP)/People Power Ronald Mayinjja who recently joined the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) has revealed that he has left NUP since their intention is to turn Uganda into a failed state like Libya or Somalia.

While speaking to Godfrey Kiwanda the NRM vice chairperson Central region who was welcoming him into the party, Mayinja said that he has scrutinized NUP’s intentions and realized that all they are aiming at is dragging Uganda into chaos.

Mayinja stressed that Uganda still needs President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s leadership if it is looking forward to securing its future.

Mayinja who has been a strong supporter for the National Unity Platform recently released a song praising and campaigning for NRM’s Yoweri Museveni as a better leader than all those intending to oust him.

His allegations have been confirmed today by NUP’s flag bearer in the country’s race, Robert Kyagulanyi who reaffirmed that he either wins or Uganda loses.

While addressing his supporters at his home in Magere where he was arrested and brought by police for carrying out illegal processions, Kyagulanyi said that his plan is to have power changed in Uganda even if it is the Libya way.

It should be remembered that Libya which was stable Under Gadhafi’s rule was plunged into war by selfish politicians aided by western countries and until to date, the country has never seen peace and economic stability like it was under Gadhafi.

There has been reports that Kyagulanyi is working with the same countries to destabilize Uganda. However, the country’s incumbent President Yoweri Museveni has warned that he will crush all those who try to destabilize Uganda.

“I hear talk that some people want to cause chaos. Anyone planning mischief will fail. No one should threaten Ugandans with chaos,” Museveni said after his nomination.
