The Government of Uganda, through the health ministry, has reduced the cost of having a covid-19 test in government hospitals.
People seeking testing for COVID-19 will now have to part with USD 50$ (UGX 185,000), down from USD 65$ (UGX 240,500).
The ministry says the cost of transporting lab test kits and other supplies has since reduced due to the resumption of international flights.
