Gen Muhoozi Hails Visiting American Superstar Nick Cannon for Loving Uganda
Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has praised Nick Cannon, an American superstar for loving Uganda. Nick is a producer, singer, comedian and activist.
The 38-year-old American Hollywood star is in Uganda, and by the look of things, he is enjoying his stay in the Pearl of Africa.
His visit to Uganda has seen him head to the eastern part of this vast, endowed land to check out the Source of River Nile.
His arrival in the country was barely noticed – of course until word started to go around social media, and his Twitter and Instagram posts doing well to lend much-needed conviction and credibility to the ‘rumours’.
“Up Early in the Motherland Documenting… The #Marathon Continues from where the Nile River Begins!” read in part his tweet, which included a link to this photo below on his Instagram page on May 1.
In one particular photo, he is seen posing with Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba – the two men wearing navy-blue caps emblazoned with a Ugandan flag.
Gen Kainerugaba particularly hailed the American born superstar saying he was “honoured to hang out with the great American actor and singer Nick Cannon”.
“He is a great guy, lots of fun. He loves our country so much. Till we meet again brother,” read the photo caption.
Just last year in October, Gen Kainerugaba met with visiting American celebrity couple Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
Nick Cannon was married to American superstar, Mariah Carey between 2008 and 2016.
Meanwhile, Uganda’s latest celebrity visitor Cannon, on his charity mission, checked in at Wells of Hope Academy in Nakaseke district, central Uganda to hang out with the children there and their instructors.
“I am an entertainer, an artist. I have done several different things – Hip Hop music, movies, television, comedy – but none of that work is as important as being here today and being here with you all,” he says inside one of the facilities at the school. The footage is posted on Twitter.
“The entire journey has been so eye-opening,” Cannon adds, expressing his eagerness to learn more about the school.
“It’s intriguing to hear more stories and get to know you all.”
