Gen Muhoozi, Businessman Dangote Discuss Investment Opportunites in Uganda
The senior presidential advisor for special operations Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba last week met Mr. Aliko Dangote at his home in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to a message released from Gen Kainerugaba’s office, the richest man in Africa who is also the chairman of Dangote group promised to visit Uganda soon.
A message from Gen Kainerugaba’s office noted:
“The Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations met Mr. Aliko Dangote, chairman of the Dangote Group and the richest man in Africa at his home in Lagos last week. They discussed Mr Dangote’s interest in investing in Uganda.”
The message continues: The General told him all areas are available for him to invest in and the government would welcome it. He promised to visit Uganda soon to make an assessment of the investment opportunities.”
Mr Dangote, with an estimated net worth of over $10 billion is renowned for his ventures in cement production, sugar refining, and other businesses. His conglomerate, Dangote Group, operates not only in Nigeria but also in several African countries, including Ghana, Ethiopia, and South Africa.
