Sources close to Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba have dismissed reports making rounds on social media that he owns a boat. An image of a boat with the General’s name has been circulating on social media.

Those behind the image used their basic Photoshop capabilities to print Gen Kainerugaba’s name on the pictured boat. In fact, the General’s name is not the only one that has been used on the boat.

Oxfam International Executive Director Winnie Banyima’s name has also been printed on the same boat.

According to a source close to Gen Kainerugaba, the boat ownership allegation is a bad lie. Gen Kainerugaba is the Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations.

“It is a bad lie and completely untrue,” the source told this reporter.

A quick Google image search analysis shows the pictured boat belongs to a tour organization at Port Puerto Deportivo de Marbella Spain.

The image comes at a time the country is mourning the death of over 30 people who were sailing on a boat cruise on Lake Victoria last Saturday.

Since the Saturday boat accident, several people have been circulating banners announcing upcoming boat cruises.
