The Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba yesterday arrived at the 4th Division headquarters in Gulu where he is to assess ongoing operations in the area. Gen Kainerugaba was received by the 4th Division commander Maj. Gen. Felix Busizoori and other commanders.

On his second day in the area, the CDF held a meeting with the 4th Division commander and brigade commanders who briefed him about ongoing operations in the area. Particularly, the CDF was briefed about ongoing operations in South Sudan and Eastern DRC. The meeting was also attended by Maj. Gen. Keith Katungi who commands the neighboring UPDF 5th Division.

After meeting with the commanders, Gen Kainerugaba addressed soldiers involved in various operations. While addressing them, he congratulated those who had recently joined the UPDF, noting they had joined a noble institution. The CDF urged them to maintain the discipline that the UPDF is known for in whatever they do. He also urged them to take good care of themselves by staying fit and healthy.
