FUFA Receives 66,260 Balls from FIFA for Nationwide Schools Program

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has received a shipment of 66,260 balls from the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), intended for the FIFA Football for Schools Programme.

FUFA announced this development on July 1, 2024, via their official X handle. The balls were received by FUFA Football Development Director Ali Mwebe at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

“The balls are part of the FIFA Football for Schools Programme launched last week, and they will be distributed to primary schools across the country,” FUFA authorities stated.

The FIFA Football for Schools programme was launched in Uganda from June 23–25, 2024. It is a component of FUFA’s Technical Master Plan, which aims to provide football opportunities for every boy and girl.

The program aims to give future players the foundational training they need to pursue football. It will train educators, who will then travel to various schools across the nation to impart this knowledge to other educators.
