For others, joining the music world was a childhood dream, one they worked tirelessly to achieve. When the opportunity finally arose, they seized it wholeheartedly. For Tom Dee, however, the primary motivation for venturing into music was financial gain. Having spent considerable time as a TikTok content creator, he realized that content creation demanded immense effort and time, yet the financial rewards were minimal.
Leveraging his content creation skills, Tom Dee decided to transition into music, hoping for better financial prospects and a brighter future.
Speaking during an interview on a local television station, Tom Dee explained that his driving force, like many others, was money. He candidly shared that his financial struggles as a content creator pushed him to explore the music industry.
“It was money. Just like everyone else, my biggest inspiration was money.
I was well known for content creation, especially on TikTok, but I soon realized it was incredibly time-consuming and the earnings were low. So, I decided to venture into music for better financial returns. It was all for the love of money,” Tom Dee revealed.
Despite his shift in focus, Tom Dee acknowledged the significant role content creation played in building his music career. His popularity as a content creator helped him cultivate a large following, which eventually became his initial fan base in music.
“The first time I went to the studio, I followed a musician called BB Zander. When I observed how he recorded, I felt confident that I could handle it too, given my background as a content creator. I then decided to leverage my large following.
If people liked my content enough to follow me, I was sure they could become my first fan base,” Tom Dee explained.
Ultimately, Tom Dee credits his content creation journey for providing him with the foundation to launch his music career and attract his audience.
