Tributes have poured in for Cellulant’s six senior employees who were killed in the terror attack at the DusitD2 complex.

Cellulant, a tech firm, is one of the multi-national companies hosted in the office complex that was attacked Tuesday.

Terrifying scenes unfolded when attackers, armed with explosives and guns burst into the office complex on 14 Riverside Drive, Nairobi.

Twenty-one people were killed and many others injured.

Among the victims were Cellulant’s Head of Product Development Ashford Kuria, Hub Engineer Kelvin Gitonga, Head of Information Security Dennis Mwaniki, Quality Assurance Tester John Ndiritu, Implementation Engineer Wilfred Kareithi, Head of Hub Jeremiah Mbaria

  • Jeremiah Mbaria – Head of Hub

Jere was not just a leader, he was a brother and a mentor. He guided his team with humility and corrected with humour. He loved God and everyone he came across and challenged his team to work on bettering themselves.

  • John Ndiritu – Quality Assurance Tester

John was part of the Ecobank and bulk SMS teams, He was passionate about service improvement and worked on all the projects. John was best known for his humour.

  • Kelvin Gitonga – Hub Engineer

Kelvin will be remembered as an intelligent and competent engineer who worked in the Hub implementation Department as a hub developer. He was very passionate about his job and everything about Java Script.

  • Wilfred Kareithi – Implementation Engineer, Global Delivery Team
