The UPDF has condemned the assault of an unidentified female traffic police officer who was seen in a photo being assaulted by Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza’s guards.

It is alleged that the soldiers pounced on the female officer after she tried to stop Kyaligonza’s car after making a U-turn in Seeta — Mukono.

“We have been informed of the incident involving a Police traffic Sergeant and UPDF military Police Soldiers. It is very regrettable and apologies to our Police Sister. UPDF and UPF are establishing the facts. Findings will guide action to be taken. Brig. Gen Richard Karemire the UPDF spokesman said in a brief statement.
