FDC President Amuriat Hails Successful Rally in Kasese

The FDC Party President, Patrick Oboi Amuriat, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the leaders and supporters of the Great Rwenzururu Kingdom following a highly successful rally on July 20, 2024, at Kilembe Quarters Playground in Kasese Municipality.

In an official statement issued on Monday July 22, 2024, Amuriat praised the organizing committee and elected leaders for their efforts in orchestrating the event, which he described as historic. He vividly recalled the enthusiastic reception from cheering supporters lining the Rwimi-Kasese section of the Fort Portal-Kasese highway and the warm welcome upon arrival in Kasese Municipality. The rally also included brief stops and addresses at Hima, Mubuku, and Rukoki, where supporters gathered in large numbers.

Amuriat mentioned the significance of the event, noting that it dispelled predictions of doom for the FDC party and filled members with pride. He called for unity among party members and supporters, emphasizing the importance of reconciliation at both local and national levels.

“Going forward, we call for the unity of our members and supporters as we continue to strive for success in the forthcoming party activities, including the General Elections,” Amuriat stated. He urged continued mobilization efforts to maintain the party’s strength and work towards restoring its glory in Kasese.

The FDC President also pledged the national leadership’s ongoing support for activities in the Rwenzori sub-region. He reiterated the party’s commitment to working together in the spirit of “One Uganda, One People!”

As the party prepares for future challenges, the successful rally in Kasese stands as a testament to the dedication and resilience of its members.
