One of FDC’s top lawyer and a human rights lawyer, Laudislaus Kiiza according to Nilewires sources is hospitalized after suffering a stroke. 

The family members revealed that Rwakafuuzi suffered a stroke on 11 August 2019. After which his close family rushed him to Nsambya Hospital where he is currently admitted.

The constitutional law expert was later taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the medical facility for specialized care.

Doctors have told our sources that he is in a stable condition he will soon be transferred from ICU to the ward.

A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted or reduced, depriving brain tissue of oxygen and nutrients. Within minutes, brain cells begin to die.

A stroke is a medical emergency. Prompt treatment is crucial. Medical experts say early action can minimize brain damage and potential complications.

some of the symptoms of someone with a stroke include trouble with speaking and understanding; Paralysis or numbness of the face, arm or leg; trouble with seeing in one or both eyes; a sudden, severe headache, which may be accompanied by vomiting, dizziness or altered consciousness and trouble with walking (you may stumble or experience sudden dizziness, loss of balance or loss of coordination).

Rwakafuuzi has represented in court hundreds of political activists including Dr Kizza Besigye, Gen David Sejusa, former Vice President Gilbert Bukenya among others.
