At exactly 12:45 pm, the NRM flag bearer, Faridah Nambi, was duly nominated as a candidate to contest for the position of Member of Parliament for Kawempe North Constituency.
The nomination exercise was conducted by the Independent Electoral Commission Returning Officer for Kampala Electoral District, Mr. Henry Makabayi.
Hajjat Faridah Nambi’s nomination was witnessed by the NRM Director of Mobilisation, Hon. Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde, along with other NRM leaders.
While addressing the media shortly after her nomination, Hajjat Faridah Nambi expressed her gratitude for being entrusted with the NRM party flag for the Kawempe North by-election.
“I am honoured to hold the NRM flag in this by-election and I promise to work closely with the people of Kawempe North Constituency to achieve social and economic transformation for our communities,” Nambi said.
She further noted, “The constituency faces various challenges that require an NRM representative to lobby support from the ruling government. I present myself as the solution to these problems.”
Voting is scheduled to take place on 13th March, 2025.
