In response to the ongoing construction work at Entebbe International Airport, the Civil Aviation Authority has announced the suspension of all tours conducted at the airport. This decision has been prompted by the increasing number of individuals utilizing airport facilities and the necessity to address the challenges posed by the current expansion efforts.
Vianney Luggya, the Manager for Public Affairs at the Civil Aviation Authority, issued a statement to elucidate the rationale behind this temporary suspension. With sections of the airport, such as the car parking area, cordoned off due to the ongoing expansion works, the authority deems it essential to alleviate congestion by temporarily halting study tours.
Luggya emphasized that this measure is a strategic move to improve service provision and enhance the overall passenger experience as the airport’s infrastructure is being upgraded. He conveyed the Authority’s commitment to ensuring that passengers and visitors will benefit from a more modern and efficient facility once the construction is complete.
While acknowledging the inconvenience this may cause, the Civil Aviation Authority has urged the general public to exhibit patience during this period of suspension.
