Don Wanyama Confirmed Vision Group CEO
Senior Presidential Press Secretary, Don Wanyama has replaced Robert Kabushenga as the new Chief Executive Officer of Vision Group.
This ends weeks of speculation about who would takeover the media group.
The decision to appoint Wanyama was announced by Patrick Ayota, the chairman of the Vision Group.
Outgoing CEO, Robert Kabushenga who retired but is believed to have been sacked was quick to congratulate Wanyama upon the appointment.
“Congratulations on getting one of the best jobs in Uganda. All the best,” Kabushenga tweeted.
Kabushenga had been the Vision Group Boss after taking over from William Pike in 2006.
Wanyama has previously worked in various capacities at Daily Monitor including as Managing Editor.
