Civil society Organizations play a crucial role in promoting social, accountability, civil participation and equitable development and also shaping societies founded on justice, accountability and respect for human dignity and this work goes beyond filling gaps in service delivery but also empowering communities, amplifying voices and engaging government to ensure that public services are equitable, inclusive and of the highest quality.

Good governance and ethical conduct lie at the heart of this leadership and ethical conduct means acting with integrity, transparency, fairness and respect for the truth even when no one is watching, said Dr. Katja Kerschbauner, the Head of Austrian Embassy
