China, 134 Other Countries Endorse Uganda to Host 3rd South Summit

Uganda has officially been endorsed by 134 developing countries and China to host the third South Summit.

This will be the largest gathering of states Uganda has ever hosted. 

This was revealed by Ambassador Adonia Ayebare on his twitter account.
Mr Ayebare is the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Uganda to the United Nations.
The endorsement was secured during the UN General Assembly in New York.
The 3rd summit comes to Uganda after the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference that is underway at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
In 2007, Uganda also hosted the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
