CDF Praises Commando Battalion for Frugality as He Commissions Administration Block
The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has commissioned the administration block at Ruhengyere Barracks, also known as Camp Rufu, in western Uganda.
Gen Kainerugaba expressed his gratitude to the 206 Commando Brigade for their exceptional dedication as warriors and for their commendable use of limited resources.
During the commissioning ceremony, the CDF described the brigade as a prime example within the UPDF and commended them for their outstanding performance.
The newly inaugurated ‘Semiliki House’ is a tribute to the unit’s valor during their first major engagement with the ADF near River Semiliki in Rwebisengo in 2007. In that crucial battle, the Commandos exhibited their prowess as skilled fighters by defeating the ADF forces.
The event was graced by the presence of Commander Land Forces Lt Gen Kayanja Muhanga, Artillery Division Commander Brig Dan Kakono, and Brig Asaph Mweteise, the Commando Brigade Commander.
