Cabinet Reshuffle: All The Dropped Ministers, New Entrants
President Yoweri Museveni last evening announced changes in his cabinet in a reshuffle that saw some long-serving ministers retained while others were dropped. There are also new faces in the latest changes.
In the reshuffle, the president dropped Hajat Janat Mukwaya (Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development), Irene Muloni (Energy & Mineral Development), Eng. Ntege Azuba (Works & Transport), and Hajji Abdu Nadduli (Minister Without Portfolio) to the position of senior presidential advisors.
Erios Aidah Nantaba (ICT) and Charles Bakkabulindi (Sports) were dropped completely.
Museveni however retained Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi as Vice President, Ruhakana Rugunda as Prime Minister, Gen. Moses Ali and Kirunda Kivejinja as first and second deputy prime ministers.
New entrants include the youthful legislator Hamson Obua in the Sports Ministry, Judith Nabakooba to ICT, Raphael Magyezi to Local government, Beatrice Atim Anywar as State Minister for Environment, Peter Ogwang to State Minister for ICT, Molly Kamukama to the Economic Monitoring ministry, and Nabbanja Robinah as State Minister for Health.
