Busoga Kingdom has officially refuted claims that the Kyabazinga, William Gabula Nadiope IV, is married to another woman.

In a statement by the Kingdom’s Premier, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, he dismissed an alleged law suit against the soon to be married King as propaganda meant to smear the Kingdom. Muvawala also says the Busoga Kingdom has formally reported the matter to the police, launching investigations and arresting undisclosed individuals.

Last month, a woman named Anna Alison, in the United Kingdom sued the King, informing court that the couple is legally married in the UK and his engagement and forth coming marriage to queen to be Jovia Mutesi is illegal and an act of Bigamy.

Through her lawyers Mugerwa and Partners Advocates and Solicitors she claimed that the King has fathered four children with her and she has always supported him and the children financially. She also claimed that the couple got married on December 16, 20i6 in the UK, Milldan House Bunababy in Portsmouth. Under the certificate AK5947291

However, Premier Muvawala says the lawyers’ petition lacked a marriage certificate, a crucial document for proving such claims.

Muvawala  emphasized the kingdom’s commitment to ensuring justice, and he urged the public to await the legal process.

The Kyabazinga is scheduled to marry Jovia Mutesi on November 18, 2023.
