Buganda Kingdom Donates 100M To Fight COVID-19

The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi has donated shs100M to the national task force to help in the fight against coronavirus.

The Kabaka sent his donation through Prince David Wasajja on Tuesday. Prince Wasajja presented the cheque to the Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda, and read a message from the Kabaka.

In the letter, the Kabaka assured Ugandans that he is going be behind the government through this battle.

He also thanked Ugandans for adhering to the guidelines issued by the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the Ministry of Health.

Buganda Kingdom had earlier donated masks.

President Museveni invited Ugandans who can afford to contribute to whatever they can to the national taskforce. The response has been positive.

Other private businesses and individuals have positively responded to the president’s call.
