Bebe Cool Beats Tanzanian Musica Star Diamond Platinumz to AFRIMA Award

Ugandan music giant Bebe Cool has won the award for ‘Best Male East African Artiste’ at the 2018 AFRIMA Awards in Accra Ghana.

The Gagamel Entertainment musician beat top East African Artistes like Diamond Platnumz, Harmonize from Tanzania and Kenyan rapper Kaligraph among others to win in the category.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is my first AFRIMA Award and I am 41 years old. I would like to thank my fans in Uganda and allover the world for voting for me. It has been a big war, but we have won,” Bebe Cool said after being handed his accolade.

Before the awards, Bebe Cool seemed to predict his victory in a Facebook post.

“I am already a winner, why? In the AFRIMA Awards slated for next weekend in Ghana there is only one male Ugandan nominee,” Bebe Cool said in response, imploring those attacking him to always “use brains not only to think but also to digest issues.” he stated.
