The director of Dawa and spokesperson of the Kibuli Muslim faction Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata has died at the age of 70.
Muzaata died at the International Hospital in Kampala where he has been receiving treatment for about two weeks. It is not clear what illness the Muslim leader has been battling.
However, dddressing the media on Wednesday, December 02, 2020, Ndirangwa dismissed reports that the vocal cleric was poisoned.
“He is suffering from ‘normal’ sickness but the good news is that he is responding to the medical attention very well and he will soon be discharged,” Ndirangwa said on Wednesday.
Ndirangwa also revealed that Muzaata had since tested negative for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Who was Muzaata
Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Batte was born in the 1950s, to the late Adam Muzaata in Bwaise, Lufula Zone close to Kimombasa area.
His father was Adam Muzaata, a sheikh, as well as an Islamic religious healer. He used the Holy Koran to treat the sick (edduwa), which other Muslims criticise, saying it’s evil.
