TikTok content creator Ibrahim Musana, widely known online as Pressure 24/7, has been remanded to Luzira Prison after appearing before the Buganda Road Court, where his case file was transferred from the City Hall Court.
The development follows the removal of hate speech charges that had earlier been brought against him under the Computer Misuse Act after court recently nullified the provisions of the law relating to that offence.
Musana had initially been remanded on two counts, including hate speech and unlawful access to personal data belonging to the Chief of Defence Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
With the hate speech charge now dropped, the TikToker remains facing a charge of unlawfully obtaining and processing personal data contrary to Section 35(1) and (2) of the Data Protection and Privacy Act.
According to the prosecution, Musana is accused of obtaining and processing personal data belonging to Gen. Kainerugaba without his consent on March 5, 2026, in Kyanja.
Prosecutors further contend that the case arises from a video recording in which Musana allegedly directed vulgar and derogatory remarks at the CDF.
While speaking in court, Musana insisted that he had undergone a psychiatric assessment and had been found mentally fit.
“I told everybody that I am supposed to inherit that throne but they think it is a joke. If I was mentally ill I would be on a minister’s order because they brought a psychiatrist to CID to examine me and they confirmed that I am mentally fine,” he said.
Musana went on to claim that he believes he has a royal lineage that has been taken away from his family.
“It is very unfortunate that this country is handling a king in this manner. I have evidence that the current president, the so called king, stole my family’s legacy and I need help,” he told court.
He also said he felt overwhelmed and unsupported, adding that his emotional expressions had been misinterpreted.
“I do not have security and I do not have judges. I am at a breaking point, so when I express myself emotionally they decide to incarcerate me,” he said.
In the video cited by prosecutors, Musana allegedly claimed that the royal title belonged to Edward Muteesa II, whom he described as his grandfather.
The court remanded him to Luzira Prison. A date for the next appearance in court was not immediately communicated.
