During a coordinated foot patrol along Nantenza Road in Kungu, police have arrested two individuals suspected of involvement in violent theft and other criminal activities.
The suspects, identified as Ziwa Raymond (aka Dodo) and Lubega Stephen, are believed to be members of a local faction commonly referred to as the “pavers”, linked to multiple cases of hammer attacks, ambushes, and housebreaking in the area.
Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Spokesperson says that one of the suspects was a wanted criminal in Kungu. The arrests were made jointly by officers from Najjera and Buwaate divisions.

In total, seven suspects have been apprehended from crime-prone areas known for harboring individuals involved in marijuana use, theft, and assaults on passersby. Among the items recovered were hammers and other tools suspected to have been used for housebreaking.
All suspects are currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to combating violent theft and protecting the local community.
