The former Resident District Commissioner of Kikuube District Amlan Tumusiime has urged the politicians of greater Hoima to shun the politics of fighting each other to get cheap popularity and political gain and embrace politics based on service delivery to the people of Hoima and greater Bunyoro region. Tumusiime was speaking to group of young people from Hoima about how is fed up with hearing and witnessing infighting between politicians for personal gain and tarnishing  each other’s reputation.

The Politics of infighting each other involves using hostile calculated actions such as propaganda, coercion, verbal attacks over resources, ideology or leadership to gain popularity. It’s driven by Power dynamics, self interest and personal grievances for political gain yet attention should be given to service delivery and well being of people.

“It’s very annoying to hear Politicians of Hoima abandoning service delivery and resort to Infighting to gain popularity and Political gain, Tumusiime said. “Why would the so called leaders treasure infighting instead of calling for peace and unity?, Hoima Politics is becoming useless and Loosing meaning” Tumusiime added.

The former RDC decided to put aside his Parliamentary bid after being diagnosed with cervical cancer three months ago and his concentration is on campaigning for President Museveni to get another term.
