President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party Presidential Candidate, has concluded his campaign trail in the Ankole Sub–region with a final rally at Kyenzaza Playgrounds in Rubirizi District, where he emphasized infrastructure development, socioeconomic empowerment, and improved service delivery.

While addressing thousands of enthusiastic supporters, President Museveni announced additional roads earmarked for tarmacking in Rubirizi District as part of efforts to expand and strengthen the existing road network.

He also highlighted the NRM government’s long-standing contributions to national progress, particularly its role in upholding peace and security across Uganda.

The President urged legislators to ensure that national budget priorities are aligned with the key focus areas outlined in the NRM manifesto, stressing that this approach is essential for effective last-mile service delivery.

He confirmed government plans to upgrade Rubirizi Health Centre IV to a General Hospital and to elevate several other health facilities. Museveni further noted that every sub-county in the district is now equipped with at least a Health Centre III, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving healthcare access.

Encouraging residents to embrace wealth creation initiatives, Museveni underscored the NRM’s integrated strategy for wealth and job creation, centered on commercial agriculture, manufacturing, the services sector, ICT, and skills development.

He cited several successful enterprises as inspirational models for aspiring wealth creators and pledged increased government funding for socioeconomic empowerment programs to boost grassroots economic activities.

According to the President, budgetary enhancements are already under consideration to strengthen the national wealth creation drive.

Museveni also promised stricter monitoring and inspection of all wealth creation interventions to ensure effectiveness. He urged both small- and large-scale landowners to adopt proper land-use practices in order to maximize productivity and enhance household incomes.

Turning to education, the President announced plans to upgrade the sector in Rubirizi District, which currently has 58 government primary schools and 10 secondary schools. He emphasized that additional interventions will be implemented to further improve educational outcomes in the area.

Concluding his final rally in the Ankole Sub-region, President Museveni reaffirmed the NRM government’s unwavering commitment to expanding infrastructure, enhancing social services, and promoting community-level economic transformation across Uganda.
