Stanbic Bank Uganda in Partnership with Uganda Communication Commission, ONGEA Africa and Uganda Digital Society have officially Launched the Stanbic Ongea Digital Creators summit designed to empower young creators with Digital skills, business capacity and financial Literacy and responsible content practices.
The Launch held at Onomo hotel in Kampala marks the beginning of a multi stakeholders efforts to strengthen Uganda’s creator economy one of the fastest growing sectors driven by youth, innovation and Digital entrepreneurship.
Speaking during the Launch Head of Consumer and High Network Marketing at Stanbic Bank Uganda, Lois Kwikiriza reaffirmed the Bank’s leadership as the lead sponsor and naming rights partner of the summit which alligns with the purpose of the Bank.
During the Launch Stanbic also announced the investment of 1 trillion shillings for the next three years to expand opportunities for young Ugandans with women, youth and Farmers Agenda including those in digital creator space. “Skills outlive trophies and scholarships will give creators World class capabilities to grow, monitize and proffessionalize their work and this speaks our commitment to youth empowerment and digital transformation, Lois Kwikiriza Said.

The Stanbic Ongea Digital Creators Summit is designed to empower creators with skills, business tools, policy awareness, responsible content practices and commercial opportunities and Uganda’s youth deserve platforms that help them rise, create and grow sustainability.
The summit will strengthen Uganda’s competitiveness in Africa’s Digital Creator Landscape by enhancing digital and financial literacy, promoting responsible content creation and connecting creators to Policy business and financial support.
The summit is expected to expected to attract creators, brands, Policy makers, financial institutions and digital experts from Uganda and the region.
