TMR Hospital International Located in Nalya has released a detailed statement explaining the circumstances under which a pupil of Green Hill Primary School identified as Augustine KIZITO Ssemakula of 12 years died at the hospital on thursday and distanced it’s self from withholding the body of the deceased.

The hospital made it clear that from the admission, the family received continuous clinical, administrative and financial support and several meetings were held with them to review care plans, address concerns and discuss financial considerations and provision of intensive care was provided to Augustine during the time he was admitted.

“We extend our condolences to the family upon the death of Augustine and his death is a profound loss despite the tireless efforts of our medical team and full spectrum of interventions provided. We were unaable to save his life. Throughout his admission, the family received full clinical guidance and administrative support and all decisions about his care were made in close consultation with them, statement said.

“At the family request the hospital extended financial arrangements including substantial discount and a revised payment plan to ease the burden during this challenging period and throughout this process, the hospital has remained in continuous communication with the family and our relationship remains respectful and cooperative, the statement added.

Augustine was laid to rest on Sunday according to the burial program released by A- plus funeral management on behalf of the family of Kenneth Nsubuga.
