Renowned motivational speaker and Pastor, Evans Mayambala, one of the long serving evangelical pastors has promised to turn upside the leadership and development of Nansana Municipality. This was when launching his manifesto to become the next Mayor of Nansana Municipality in the next term 2026 – 2031.
Mayambala who has also authored several books, expressed his concern on leaders who have specialized in Politicking rather than leadership and hence their failure to improve the image of Nansana Municipality that is described as a hub of prostitution and gangs that terrorise people in Kampala and it’s Suburbs. “Nansana is a unique electoral area that needs a leadership approach that can solve problems that range from social, economic, healthcare, employment, family and spiritual demanding a holistic remedy” said Mayambala.
Mayambala a pastor at Destiny Home and Health Care, believes in leadership that focuses on problem solving rather than protesting when expressing disappointment if issues are not going on well especially the youth who are More than 70% of the Ugandan population. “I have programs for the women, unemployed, uneducated and the elite of Nansana in sectors such as Business, renewable energy and other sectors”, he added.
Pastor Mayambala is going to tussle it out with Ms. Regina Nakazzi the incumbent, Nsubuga Hamidu who is the NRM and John Bosco Sserunkuma of NUP. This follows successful nomination of the above candidates by the Electoral Commission. The race according to the residents of the Municipality and political observers is predicted to be a hot one because both NUP and NRM are believed to have a strong base of supporters in the area.
