The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, this morning received the Chinese Defence Attaché to Uganda, Colonel Zhang Hao and his deputy, Colonel Li Hai, at the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Entebbe.

The Chinese military delegation paid a courtesy visit to Gen. Kainerugaba, during which both parties discussed enhancing bilateral relations between Uganda and China, with a particular focus on deepening military cooperation.

Gen Kainerugaba commended China’s longstanding and cordial partnership with Uganda, emphasizing its strategic importance.

In response, the Chinese defence officers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening ties between the two nations.

The meeting highlights the growing military collaboration between Uganda and China, which has seen advancements in defence capabilities, technology transfer, and joint training initiatives
