The Resident District Commissioner of Kikuube Tumusiime Amlan is set to step down from his position in order to concentrate on his political ambitions come 2026 general elections.
Tumusiime made this declaration with other Resident District and City Commissioners a few hours after meeting his supervisor Honourable Milly Babalanda, the Minister of Presidency who invited them to her office in Kampala to hear from them concerning their political ambitions.
It’s a requirement for public servants to resign from their jobs a few months before engaging in elective politics and campaigning.
It’s true am going to resign from the position of Resident District Commissioner Kikuube in the months of May so that I can fully participate and compete for the position of Member of Parliament as the law requires, said Tumusiime.
I don’t want my competitors to say am using my position of Rdc to look for Votes, he added.
Amlan is to contest in Bugahya county Hoima District,a constituency currently represented by Honourable Pius Wakabi for two terms.
Tumusiime is who is also the brand ambassador of Kitara football club, Chief Rdc of Albertine region, the Patron of Hoima Media association bragged of his track record when it comes to service delivery, fighting land grabbers,educating the orphans and community Mobilisation when it comes to government programmes such as Parish development Model and Emyooga.
