A former Special Forces Command soldier was last night gunned down near Kyambogo University after being trailed for several hours by ISO operatives.

The soldier identified as Private Turyatunga Bright deserted forces in 2012 and was later nabbed by Police on charges of robbery and sentenced to four years to Luzira prisons.

Sources tell the Nile Wires after serving his sentence, he got released but hardly two months, he was again arrested carrying out high way robbery.

This prompted ISO operatives to follow the suspect and was gunned down as he involved himself in yet another robbery of a bullion van that was on its way from Mukono.

He had been absorbed into ISO as an informer. He was shot alongside another thug he had been working with.
