ISO Releases Burial Program for Late Brig Gen Charles Oluka
The Internal Security Organisation (ISO) has officially released the burial program for its Director General, Brig Gen Charles Oluka, who passed away recently.
The arrangements, overseen by the Burial Organizing Committee chaired by Deputy Director General of ISO, Col Emmy Katabazi, will span three days.
The farewell events will begin with a Vigil and Mass on Friday, 31st January 2025, at 5:00 PM at his home in Kitende, Kitovu. Family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers are invited to gather in prayer and remembrance of the late Brig Gen Oluka.
On Saturday, 1st February 2025, at 9:00 AM, a Requiem Mass will be held at Kisubi Catholic Church. Following the mass, his body will be transported to Apapai in Kalaki District, where he will be laid to rest.
The final burial ceremony will take place on Sunday, 2nd February 2025, at 10:00 AM in Ousia, Apapai, Kalaki District. The nation will bid farewell to a dedicated servant who played a crucial role in ensuring national security.
Brig Gen Charles Oluka’s contributions to Uganda’s internal security will be remembered, and his service will forever be honored.
Afande Oluka passed away on January 29, 2025, after collapsing and being rushed to Sseguku Hospital on Entebbe Road in Wakiso District.
The news of Oluka’s death was announced by Faruk Kirunda, the Special Presidential Assistant in charge of Press and Mobilisation.
