The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah is representing H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the 33rd graduation ceremony for the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) in Mbale City.

On arrival , the Premier was welcomed by the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister Gen Moses Ali, 3rd Deputy Prime Minister Rukia Nakadama Isanga, Mufti Shaban Mubajje, area MPs,Local and university top leaders.

The ceremony has also been organised to celebrate the hard work and achievements of the Class of 2024. According to the University’s Academic Registrar, Dr. Halima Wakabi Akbar, IUIU has over 120 accredited programs, 8 Faculties, and a student population of over 10,000 from 21 different countries. It is a multi-campus university offering courses at certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels with its main campus in Mbale City.
