The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has dismissed a document revealing a fake PLE timetable.
The fake timetable claiming to represent the official schedule for the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) has been widely circulated, causing confusion among students, parents, and schools.
According to the fake timetable, exams were set to begin on Monday, 4th November 2024, with a briefing of candidates by headteachers, followed by Mathematics and Social Studies & Religious Education on Tuesday, 5th November, and the rest of the subjects spread over three days.
The fake document, which falsely lists these dates and timings, was labeled with a bold red “FAKE” stamp as UNEB warned the public to avoid relying on unverified information.
The official UNEB timetable is as follows; on Monday, 4th November 2024, candidates will be briefed by headteachers , On Tuesday, 5th November 2024 the candidates will commence written examinations with Mathematics from (9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.) and in the afternoon, Social Studies & Religious Education between (2:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.)
On Wednesday, 6th November 2024 they will sit for Integrated Science at (9:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.) and English between (2:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.)
UNEB has reiterated that all official exam timetables and updates are only available through their official communication channels. The examination board also emphasized the importance of schools and parents verifying any information from reliable sources to avoid misinformation that may disrupt exam preparation.
This warning comes at a critical time as candidates prepare for their final exams. UNEB has urged all concerned to stay informed and consult official sources for any updates or changes.
