Civil Servants Urged To Build Public Trust Through Quality Work
Maj Gen Henry Masiko, Chairperson of the Field Inspection Project at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MODVA), has called on civil servants, particularly engineers, architects, and planners, to prioritise quality in their work for the government.
“If you want to gain trust from the public and people you serve, then do great work that the government trusts you with,” Maj Gen Masiko stated during a recent inspection of projects carried out by the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) Engineers Brigade in the Central Region.
He commended the UPDF Engineers Brigade for setting a high standard among civil servants, highlighting their dedication to serving Uganda as their foremost priority under the guidance of President Yoweri Kaguta.
Beneficiaries of the inspected projects praised the UPDF Engineers for their professionalism and positive rapport with the community.
The projects reviewed included an oxygen plant at China Uganda Hospital Naguru, a four-storeyed classroom block at Kololo Secondary School, renovations and roofing at Old Kampala Secondary School, an oxygen plant at Butabika Hospital, a carpentry workshop block, kitchen facilities, and the renovation and roofing of two classroom blocks at Aggrey Memorial School Bunamwaya, as well as an oxygen plant at Kiruddu National Referral Hospital.
